janmejayaḥ sva-pitaraṃ śrutvā takṣaka-bhakṣitam /
yathājuhāva sankruddho nāgān satre saha dvijaiḥ //

16. Janmejaya heard that his father was consumed by Takshaka; and, enraged at it, he offered the Nagas in the prescribed manner into the fire with the help of brahmin priests.
