naiṣa tvayā manuṣyendra vadham arhati sarpa-rāṭ /
anena pītam amṛtam atha vā ajarāmaraḥ //

24. O Lord of men, this king of serpents cannot (is not fit to be) be killed by thee; for he has drunk of nectar and he is free from old age and death.
