12.8.30

itīndrānucarair brahman dharṣito 'pi mahā-muniḥ /
yan nāgād ahamo bhāvaṃ na tac citraṃ mahatsu hi //

30. O sage, though he was thus assailed by the functionaries of Indra, the great sage did not allow Ahankara to get the upper of him; certainly this is no wonder in the case of mahatmans.
