2.8.25

atra pramāṇaṃ hi bhavān parameṣṭhī yathātmabhūḥ /
apare cānutiṣṭhanti pūrveṣāṃ pūrvajaiḥ kṛtam //

25. Indeed you are an authority in these matters like Brahma, the highest of the gods, who is born of the Paramatman; for all other people in the world only follow what was done by

the oldest of the old (by those who were born before all others, _i.e._, by those who were first created).
