tamo-mātrām upādāya pratisaṃruddha-vikramaḥ /
kālenānugatāśeṣa āste tūṣṇīṃ dinātyaye //
27. At the end of such a day He slightly associates Himself with Tamas and withdraws His own active aspect and remains quiet, all other things having entered Him by force of time.
