ghrāṇena pṛthvyāḥ padavīṃ vijighran kroḍāpadeśaḥ svayam adhvarāṅgaḥ /
karāla-daṃṣṭro 'py akarāla-dṛgbhyām udvīkṣya viprān gṛṇato 'viśat kam //

28. Smelling the path of the earth with His nose, the Lord of whom the sacrifice is a personality and who was now in the form of a boar of fearful tusks, but looked with gentle eyes on the Brahmans who were uttering His praises, and plunged into the water.
