vasudevasya devakyāṃ jāto bhojendra-bandhane /
cikīrṣur bhagavān asyāḥ śam ajenābhiyācitaḥ //

25. Prayed to by Brahma and disposed to make the Earth happy, the Lord was born of Vasudeva and Devaki (who were) in the prison of Kamsa! the king of the Bhojas.
