3.20.22

devatāḥ prabhayā yā yā dīvyan pramukhato 'sṛjat /
te ahārṣur devayanto visṛṣṭāṃ tāṃ prabhām ahaḥ //

22. Endowed with glorious brilliancy Brahma chiefly created the gods and sporting in the light (thus) shed by him—the light which became day—the gods appropriated it (the day time) to themselves.
