ye 'hīyantāmutaḥ keśā ahayas te 'ṅga jajñire /
sarpāḥ prasarpataḥ krūrā nāgā bhogoru-kandharāḥ //
48. O beloved one, the blades of hair which dropped from his body were born as serpents; and from his body while moving (from one place to another) the fierce Nagas were born with hoods and long necks.
