ayāta-yāmās tasyāsan yāmāḥ svāntara-yāpanāḥ /
śṛṇvato dhyāyato viṣṇoḥ kurvato bruvataḥ kathāḥ //

35. The hours (yamas) which rolled away the time allotted to him as a Manu, were not allowed to pass fruitlessly, since he was (ever) hearing of Vishnu, meditating upon Him, conversing and teaching about Him.
