3.26.37

cālanaṃ vyūhanaṃ prāptir netṛtvaṃ dravya-śabdayoḥ /
sarvendriyāṇām ātmatvaṃ vāyoḥ karmābhilakṣaṇam //

37. To set things in motion, to make things gather into heaps, to reach things, to bear (the particles of fragrant) substance (to the sense of smell) and sound (to the sense of hearing) and to be the giver of strength or vitality to all the organs—these form the characteristics or properties of Vāyu in its active aspect.
