iti mātur vacaḥ ślakṣṇaṃ pratinandya mahā-muniḥ /
ābabhāṣe kuru-śreṣṭha prītas tāṃ karuṇārditaḥ //

6. Maitreya said:—The great sage heard with approbation these agreeable words (this enquiry) of his mother and urged by His own mercifulness, O foremost one among the Kurus, spoke to her as follows:
