viṣayān abhisandhāya yaśa aiśvaryam eva vā /
arcādāv arcayed yo māṃ pṛthag-bhāvaḥ sa rājasaḥ //
9. He who, desirous of worldly objects, reputation or lordly power, worships Me in idols and other things and with the notion of difference,—he is of the Rajasa class.
