brahmaṇā coditaḥ sṛṣṭāv atrir brahma-vidāṃ varaḥ /
saha patnyā yayāv ṛkṣaṃ kulādriṃ tapasi sthitaḥ //

17. Maitreya said:—Commanded by Brahma (to take up the work of) creation, Atri, foremost among those who know Brahman, went along with his wife to the mountain of Rksha and was engaged in meditation.
