arājake tadā loke dasyubhiḥ pīḍitāḥ prajāḥ /
jāto nārāyaṇāṃśena pṛthur ādyaḥ kṣitīśvaraḥ //

20. For, then the world not having a ruler, the people were put to difficulties by robbers. (Now) Prithu the first Lord of the earth was born with a portion or Amsa of Narayana.
