4.17.20

praharanti na vai strīṣu kṛtāgaḥsv api jantavaḥ /
kim uta tvad-vidhā rājan karuṇā dīna-vatsalāḥ //

20. Creatures do not indeed aim their stroke at women though they are at fault; what need then be said that those who like thee are merciful and tender to the distressed ought not (to do so).
