pumān yoṣid uta klība ātma-sambhāvano 'dhamaḥ /
bhūteṣu niranukrośo nṛpāṇāṃ tad-vadho 'vadhaḥ //

26. Be it a man or a woman or an impotent creature, any one who is proud and self-conceited and is merciless to other beings—to kill him is no killing on the part of kings.
