vinindyaivaṃ sa giriśam apratīpam avasthitam /
dakṣo 'thāpa upaspṛśya kruddhaḥ śaptuṃ pracakrame //

17. Maitreya said:—Having thus upbraided Śiva who was (all the while) quiet without retorting, the enraged Daksha made Āchamana and at once proceeded to pronounce his curse (thus):—
