tapasā vidyayā pakva- kaṣāyo niyamair yamaiḥ /
yuyuje brahmaṇy ātmānaṃ vijitākṣānilāśayaḥ //
38. By Tapas (self-denial), contemplation, Yama and Niyama
he controlled his senses, breaths, and associated his self with Brahman (lit. he placed his Atman in Brahman).
