ātmānaṃ kanyayā grastaṃ pañcālān ari-dūṣitān /
duranta-cintām āpanno na lebhe tat-pratikriyām //
8. And that he himself was grasped by the maid and that the Panchalas were spoiled (influenced) by his foes—(thus) brought to endless sorrow, he found no remedy.
