vātā na vānti na hi santi dasyavaḥ prācīna-barhir jīvati hogra-daṇḍaḥ /
gāvo na kālyanta idaṃ kuto rajo loko 'dhunā kiṃ pralayāya kalpate //

8. Winds do not blow; there are certainly no thieves; the King Prāchīnabarhis of terrible command is still alive; cows are not driven in such haste; whence is this dust? Does the world now prepare itself for a Pralaya or deluge?"
