tad ākarṇya vibhuḥ prāha tejīyasi kṛtāgasi /
kṣemāya tatra sā bhūyān na prāyeṇa bubhūṣatām //
4. Having heard what they said, the great Brahma said, "Towards one of higher power, though at fault, the thought of retaliation on the part of inferiors cannot tend to their welfare."
