evaṃ dakṣiṇenelāvṛtaṃ niṣadho hemakūṭo himālaya iti prāg-āyatā yathā nīlādayo 'yuta-yojanotsedhā hari-varṣa-kimpuruṣa-bhāratānāṃ yathā-saṅkhyam //

9. Similarly, on the south of Ilavrita are three ranges, Nishadha, Hemakuta and the Himalayas, running towards the east, each ten thousand yojanas high, like Nila and other ranges and they form the boundaries of Harivarsha, Kimpurusha and Bharata.
