samparete pitari nava bhrātaro meru-duhit-r merudevīṃ pratirūpām ugradaṃṣṭrīṃ latāṃ ramyāṃ śyāmāṃ nārīṃ bhadrāṃ devavītim iti saṃjñā navodavahan //

23. On the demise of their father the nine brothers married the nine daughters of Meru, who are, by name, Merudevi, Pratirupa, Ugradamshtri, Lata, Ramya, Syama, Nari, Bhadra, and Devaviti.
