mātustvatitarāṃ putre sneho mohasamudbhavaḥ /
kṛtadyuteḥ sapatnīnāṃ prajākāmajvaro 'bhavat //

37. But the mother's affection for the son was so great as to take away all judgment from her; and her co-wives fell into (a bad) fever of desire for an issue.
