viṣayatṛṣo narapaśavo ya upāsate vibhūtīrna paraṃ tvām /
teṣāmāśiṣa īśa tadanu vinaśyanti yathā rājakulam //

38. Human brutes they are who, impelled by their thirst for worldly objects, worship Thy aṃśas the other gods, but not Thee the Perfect One—for their blessings, O Lord, come to an end after them, even as the servants lose their fortune with the royal house.
