prajānāṃ pitaro ye ca śāstāraḥ sādhavaḥ samāḥ /
yadi syāt teṣu vaiṣamyaṃ kaṃ yānti śaraṇaṃ prajāḥ //

3. If those who are parents of creatures, who rule them and are righteous and impartial, indulge in unfairness (to enter their heart), to whom could they (then) resort for protection?
