hitvā kalevaraṃ tīrthe gaṅgāyāṃ darśanādanu /
sadyaḥ svarūpaṃ jagṛhe bhagavatpārśvavartinām //
44. After he saw them he cast off his body in the sacred waters of Ganga and stood up transformed at once into one of those that wait upon the Lord.
