eka eveśvarasturyo bhagavān svāśrayaḥ paraḥ /
tamadṛṣṭvābhavaṃ puṃsaḥ kimasatkarmabhirbhavet //

12. There is but one Supreme Ruler who is the fourth, *i.e.*, the witness of all, omnipotent, not depending on another, perfect and distinct; till seeing Him who is eternally blessed, what purpose could be achieved by means of worthless acts (which are not resigned to Him)?
