sṛṣṭyapyayakarīṃ māyāṃ velākūlāntavegitām /
mattasya tāmavijñasya kimasatkarmabhirbhavet //

16. To the person who forgetful under her sway does not realise that river to be Maya which is the auther of creation and destruction and rushes on in great velocity at the fords and banks (or at the ports), of what avail are the activities (induced by Maya)?
