yāvadbhriyeta jaṭharaṃ tāvat svatvaṃ hi dehinām /
adhikaṃ yo 'bhimanyeta sa steno daṇḍamarhati //

8. Creatures have a right for things only to that extent with which his stomach is to be filled; he who claims a right to anything more is a thief and deserves punishment.
