tāvaddāsyāmahaṃ jajñe tatrāpi brahmavādinām /
śuśrūṣayānuṣaṅgeṇa prāpto 'haṃ brahmaputratām //
73. First I was born of a servant-woman; even in that life by virtue of doing service to Brahmins versed in the Vedas, who also realised Brahman; and by association with them I became the son of Brahma.
