jaṭādīdhitibhī reje saṃvartārka ivāṃśubhiḥ /
tasmiṃstapastapyamāne devāḥ sthānāni bhejire //
3. With his glowing and radiant matted hair on his head he shone like the fire of Pralaya shooting off rays of light and heat; when he was (thus) engaged in Tapas, the gods went back to their places.
