tasya tat pūjayan karma yanturdānavasattamaḥ /
śūlena jvalatā taṃ tu smayamāno 'hanan mṛdhe //

17. Jambha, the foremost among Danavas, expressed his approbation of that service done by Matali the driver; then putting on a smile he struck him (Matali) in battle with a burning Sula.
