tenaiva sahasā sarve devāḥ pratihatekṣaṇāḥ /
nāpaśyan khaṃ diśaḥ kṣauṇīmātmānaṃ ca kuto vibhum //

2. All the gods had their eyes dazzled and could not perceive the sky, the quarters, the Earth, and even themselves; how could they then distinctly see the Lord?
