janmanā janakaḥ so 'bhūdvaidehastu videhajaḥ /
mithilo mathanāj jāto mithilā yena nirmitā //

13. By birth he was called Janaka and, being born of a body occupied by no Jiva, he was called Vaideha (or Videha) and also Mithila being born by churning; and by him the city of Mithila was founded.
