tasya dṛgbhyo 'bhavat putraḥ somo 'mṛtamayaḥ kila /
viprauṣadhyuḍugaṇānāṃ brahmaṇā kalpitaḥ patiḥ //

3. Out of (the joyful tears of) his (Atri's) eyes was born a son called Soma, embodiment of nectar, who was appointed by Brahma as the king of brahmins, plants and herbs and the hosts of stars.
