śukro bṛhaspaterdveṣādagrahīt sāsuroḍupam /
haro gurusutaṃ snehāt sarvabhūtagaṇāvṛtaḥ //

6. On account of his jealousy towards Brihaspati, Sukracharya together with asuras took the side of Soma; and the god Siva together with all his Bhutas took the side of Brihaspati on account of his affection for him as his preceptor’s son.
