apṛcchat tanayaṃ pūruṃ vayasonaṃ guṇādhikam /
na tvamagrajavadvatsa māṃ pratyākhyātumarhasi //
42. Lastly he asked his son Pooru who was by age the youngest but by qualities the foremost of his sons and said, “O child, it is not fit for thee to refuse like thy elder brothers”.
