pūrṇaṃ varṣasahasraṃ me viṣayān sevato 'sakṛt /
tathāpi cānusavanaṃ tṛṣṇā teṣūpajāyate //

18. It is a complete thousand years since I began to enjoy incessantly the objects of life: still every hour my thirst for them is growing.
