manyamāno hataṃ vyāghraṃ pṛṣadhraḥ paravīrahā /
adrākṣīt svahatāṃ babhruṃ vyuṣṭāyāṃ niśi duḥkhitaḥ //
8. The heroic Prishadhra believed that the tiger was killed, but in the morning was sorely greived to see that a cow had been killed by him in the (dark) night.
