sa itthaṃ bhaktiyogena tapoyuktena pārthivaḥ /
svadharmeṇa hariṃ prīṇan sarvān kāmān śanairjahau //

26. Thus with the course of devotion joined to Tapas, that king delighted Hari by doing duties assigned to him and gradually got rid of all attachments.
