brāhmaṇātikrame doṣo dvādaśyāṃ yadapāraṇe /
yat kṛtvā sādhu me bhūyādadharmo vā na māṃ spṛśet //

39. "It is a fault to neglect the brahmin; it is also a fault not to break the fast within the *Dvadasi* hour. What course should I now take, so that good may come out of it and unrighteousness may not touch me?
