Bhagavatapurana 9.4.69

9.4.69

upāyaṃ kathayiṣyāmi tava vipra śṛṇuṣva tat /
ayaṃ hyātmābhicāraste yatastaṃ yāhi mā ciram /
sādhuṣu prahitaṃ tejaḥ prahartuḥ kurute 'śivam //

69. "I shall tell thee of the way, O brahmin, listen to it; this is indeed a wrong thou hast done to thyself; therefore go to him alone; the power used against the righteous brings evil to its own author.
