tatheti sa vanaṃ gatvā mṛgān hatvā kriyārhaṇān /
śrānto bubhukṣito vīraḥ śaśaṃ cādadapasmṛtiḥ //
7. In obedience to his father's command he went to the forest, killed the animals fit for religious function; but fatigued and hungry, the warrior ate of a hare in an unconscious mood.
