viśāpo dvādaśābdānte maithunāya samudyataḥ /
vijñāpya brāhmaṇīśāpaṃ mahiṣyā sa nivāritaḥ //
37. Freed from the preceptor’s curse at the end of twelve years, he proceeded to enjoy his wife’s company; but Madayanti
remembered the curse of the brahmin woman and requested him not to approach her.
