For him, wishing to burn the enemy's city at once like Hara, / the ocean, trembling with fear rising in all its limbs, gave way, / as from afar its hosts of makaras, serpents, and crocodiles / were scorched by his glance fiery-red with anger aroused by his spouse's grief.
