1.1

yasmāt sarvam idaṃ prapañcaracitaṃ māyājagaj jāyate
yasmiṃs tiṣṭhati yāti cāntasamaye kalpānukalpe punaḥ
yaṃ dhyātvā munayaḥ prapañcarahitaṃ vindanti mokṣaṃ dhruvaṃ
taṃ vande puruṣottamākhyam amalaṃ nityaṃ vibhuṃ niścalam

From whom this whole world of illusion, composed of phenomenal manifestation, is born,
in whom it abides, and into whom it goes again at the time of dissolution, from cycle to cycle,
by meditating on whom, free from phenomenal manifestation, sages attain firm liberation—
to that stainless, eternal, omnipresent, unmoving one named Puruṣottama, I offer praise.
