eko nārāyaṇo devo devānāmīśvareśvaraḥ /
paramātmā paraṃ brahma janmādyasya yato bhavet //
One is the God Nārāyaṇa, the Lord of lords among the gods,
the Supreme Self, the supreme Brahman, from whom the origin and so forth of this [universe] proceed.
