sūta uvāca /
parāśaro 'bravīdvyāsaṃ dharmaṃ varṇāśramādikam /
kalpekalpe kṣayotpattyā kṣīyante nu prajādayaḥ //
The glorious Garuḍa Mahāpurāṇa — [Chapter] 107. / Sūta said: / Parāśara spoke to Vyāsa on the dharma of castes and life-stages and so forth: / 'Through destruction and creation, kalpa by kalpa, created beings and the rest surely decline.
